Part of Billiani's Edizione collection, Raquette is a tribute to the world of tennis. Designed by Cristina Celestino, the collection pays homage to the ancient technique of intertwining wooden slats. The frame combines the wooden structure and the soft, organic cushioning in perfect harmony to assure exquisitely contemporary comfort.
According to Villa Spezzotti architect Marcello D'Olivo, “Nature is dominated by curves. I work with the pencil, and my line must be an architecture of curves. Out of respect for nature and architecture”. The Friulian architect was considered one of the most important of his time, whose aesthetic approach was constructed around curved lines and spirals.
Frisée combines the solidity of wood with an ironic and joyful frivolity. Cristina Celestino’s soft and enveloping touch exalts Billiani’s materials and know-how with pure colours, corners that turn into delicate curves and bulb-end legs. Designed for the contract market, Frisée expresses a cultured and sophisticated lightness that nods to the world of cabinet making.
Designed by Emilio Nanni for Billiani and with all the charm of a hand-crafted object, the Marimba collection is made using finely-crafted leather with a felt version also available. Featuring Chairs, Lounge Chairs and Stools, Marimba is a novelty in the Billiani collection.
Vincent van Gogh’s paintings feature a number of simple, solid, traditional chairs that, more than a century ago, could be found in every country house. Designed by Werther Toffoloni, the Vincent V.G. is inspired by these chairs, bringing together ancient and modern, solidity and lightness, art and design.
The Veretta collection is defined by soft lines and simple geometries. Designed by Cristina Celestino, the curved solid beech wood ring surrounds the seat and frames the backrest. The seats, which can be padded at the front, enhance the wood material, especially in the joint with the seat ring with hand-worked terminals.
Designed by Luigi Billiani, the Harry's collection naturally belongs outside. Combining the aesthethic of traditionally-produced chairs with the Mediterranean touch of hand-woven rope, the collection is inspired by the chairs in Venice's legendary Harry's Bar. Ideal as a dining chair or seat for relaxing, the Harry's collection is available in iroko and ash wood.
